I wore these like leggings in picture , casually around like athleisure, and found they were well made enough to use athletically at the gym. The texture in the knees is different than the rest of the leggings so I am not sure how they will stand the test of time with the industrial cleaning at RTR...but they were new and in prime condition when I got them.

Love these for wearing to work with booties and also with running shoes for the gym. Has a really good high waisted fit with a relatively wide, sturdy band.

Great for exercising, high waisted

I'm a thick thighs and butt gal so I went with the L. I found it wasn't supportive enough. It worked I wore them and nothing drastic but if you're 160lbs like me or less you may be better off with a medium to sort of "hold you in". Love the waist band and you could almost get away with reversing these to a maroon/black pattern as long as your tee is long enough. Got the job done but maybe I'll try the medium next time.
