The dress fits nicely, and hugs every possible curve on your body. The bad thing is that the lace in the side looks really used from up close but you can't really tell from far away so it doesnt matter that much. I totally recommend it.

Pros: fit, length, color, material Cons: Service. They didn't have the original dress that I rented. They notified me via email the day before my dress was to be delivered. They sent me a replacement dress that literally looked like an elderly woman's jersey bathrobe. I spent hours going back and forth with customer service trying to find an available floor length dress in a size 8 that was attractive. Thankfully - the Bluemarine stunner pulled through (even if it was delivered three hours before the event itself). I have to say... They apologized profusely and have me a credit to try them again. I am going to for two August events - one black tie and one cocktail. Fingers crossed.

I took the plunge and decided to drop the pretty pennies on this gown for a black-tie gala last winter, and I do not regret spending that money at all. I felt like a goddess, and people's jaws dropped when they saw me enter the room. I was accepting compliments on my dress all night! The weight of the fabric is much heavier than you might think, which gives the skirt an alluring swing when in motion and lets the dress hug your curves in all the right ways. Due to my height and the fact that I was wearing 5" heels, I opted for the long length, and it hit exactly where I wanted it to: below my ankle but above the balls of my feet in the heels. The lace is very high quality and not elasticized like cheaper "lace" usually is --- word of caution: carefully make sure you have a good range of motion lifting your arms before you go and hit the dance floor, because the lace does not have much give. Unfortunately, my cell phone ended up at the bottom of a hot tub by the end of the night, so all my photos of me in this gown with my full hair and makeup were lost forever --- one of the greatest personal tragedies of my life, lol. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime formal gown that will leave people breathless, look no further! One final note: the night of my event, a devastating winter storm hit North Texas and prevented me from returning the dress on the exact date I was meant to, which Rent the Runway graciously excused without a hitch.

I have no words to describe how it felt to wear this dress... Slip in it and see your husband's mouth just drop open. It hugs each and every curve in the right way and you simply do not want to take it off, let alone return it. I was the head of the host committee for a gala of almost 600 people and I had countless people tell me how phenomenal my dress was and how amazing I looked. If you have any little thing extra on your belly you might want to wear spanx (which I did) and it took nothing away from the dress. Just one thing I wish I had, a 4R instead of a long one, but it was not available. Lifted it up a bit and danced the night away!

Just to warn you, the lace is navy blue. It's fine, it wasn't a deal-breaker, but just be aware. Felt elegant and classy after having struggled to lose baby weight. I'm 5'6", wore 3" heels with no platform, and it felt about 1" too short for my taste. Several friends said they didn't think it was too short, but it could have stood to be a tad longer, given the heel height.
