This dress was great, and although my waist is a big larger than the other proportions, it fit very well. The length was right and I was comfortable all evening!

As above go two sizes bigger than normal. Runs narrow at hips, but loved it, looks great with dark skin.

The dress fit great, the fabric was wonderful - it felt rich. I loved this dress. I would love to own it could be worn to so many things. Just came back from a cruise and I gained a few pounds so I would have liked better - less my cruise dinners but it still did a great job of making me feel fantastic.

This dress is classy and beautiful. I fit great and was comfortable throughout dinner and dancing.

This was my favorite dress I've worn in a long time. The lace overlay is stunning and the fit is perfect. I had so many compliments and would definitely rent it again!

I loved this dress - very classy and wore it to a friends wedding in Long Island. It was a bit long for my height though so I temporarly "hemmed" it with some fashion tape. Would defiintely recommend it!

If anything true to size or a bit tight, wear with heels if your on the shorter side like me (5' 4"). Such a fun color for spring!

My best advice is to read all the reviews for a RTR dress before you order! I usually wear a size 2 or 4 but had to wear a size 6 in this dress. I could squeeze my hips into a size 4 but then could barely move my legs. Many people remarked how the dress was so beautiful and reminiscent of the show "Mad Men". I loved wearing this dress - very comfortable, gorgeous fabric, beautiful green color and a nice back zipper pull.

The fit runs true to size. I thought pin tucks in front created a slight balloon effect in the stomach - not an area I want to emphasize. I put on a pair of spanks to help keep myself in check where the dress didn't. The color was great. I wore gold and tan accessories and shoes to let the dress shine and do the work (versus black)

I ordere the 6 and 8 but was sent an 8 and what I believe to be a 4. The 8 was loose all over (especially around the hips) and I couldn't even get the other dress zipped. The 6 would have been perfect. I have a broad back and narrow hips so the proportion of the dress was just right for me. However, I am short-waisted and wish the waistband had come a little higher. I thought the dress was going to be lace but its actually stitching over a patterned textile (almost snake-like). It was an amazing textile and a very high quality dress. I had more than one person say I looked very "Mad Men" which is just what I wanted. I'm giving the dress 4 stars just because I didn't get the right size so I'm not certain it would have been a 5.

WOW!! runs small....if you are are between sizes, go up even one more. I usually wear an 8, and had to go with the 12. But RTR is fantastic - they overnight it to me with no problem!!

I rented this gorgeous peter som dress for a special occasion and I got so many compliments and I felt like a million bucks wearing it. It fits TRUE to size, and pops in the light cause of the green color, and the detail on the dress is great! I would rent again!

I loved the color and style of this dress. I usually wear a 4 but literally couldn't zip it up. The 6 was a tight fit but thanx to Spanx it worked. I might have been able to wear an 8 but of course that's not what I ordered. So word to the wise.

I rented this dress for a baptism. It is absolutely beautiful. The subtle pattern and the color are wonderful together. If you have curvy hips, however, this may not be the dress for you. The size 6 was way too tight in the hips, but fit nicely in the bust. The size 8 fit nicely in the hips, but was big everywhere else.

The other reviewers are dead on and were very helpful: this dress runs small and isn't cut for generous curves. I just barely got into a 12 (I normally wear a ten) and it was snug on my hips and chest. While my chest is large, my hips are average so this is definitely for the more narrow body types. As for the "pouch" others mentioned, yes it can have one. I think the idea is that if the dress fits your body type, the dress tries to be "forgiving" instead of clingy in the tummy area. For me, it worked but if the dress doesn't hit you just so, it can definitely create a pouch. I wore this for a bridal shower (tea at the Drake Hotel, upscale spot) and it was perfect for the occasion. I got a lot of compliments. I loved the color and texture of the dress. Overall, it worked out for me but this is a risky rental since the fit isn't going to work for everyone. Sorry, no pics yet. I usually forget to take pics. If someone else sends me one, I will post.

I LOVED this dress. The fabric, design and overall effect of this dress is pure sophistication. I wore it with gold earrings and black heels. I got compliments from many strangers!!! I normally wear a 4 or 6 - I squeezed into the 6 because the 8 looked a little dowdy (too many crinkles when i moved). The 6 fit perfect - it was quite tight though, and after I had lunch I couldn't wait to take it off! Because it is so well made, it doesn't look as though you squeezed into it though. I will definitely rent this one again - thinking of buying it!

This dress was gorgeous and looked like it was custom made for me. I got so many compliments! I got a size 10, hoping it was true to size, and it was. I have a slight hourglass shape, and this style worked for my body, but I would not recommend it for someone shorter than 5'5", bust larger than 36C, or curvy hips. I don't think it would fit properly.

The color on this dress is a lot brighter than it looks on the computer screen. This was a plus for me! It was a dreary day and I stood out and got a lot of compliments on the color. My only problem with this dress was the waist was a bit too high (my problem, not the dress - I have the same problem with most dresses with a fitted waist). I am normally a 6 but size up in dresses cut like this. The dress fit perfectly on my torso but was a bit loose right below the waist.

The dress is very simple in cut and fit. However, the color is more of a lime green. Fabulous with a glowing tan and clean makeup. Against the usual sea of black and muted colors, it was great to stand out! Loved this dress!!!

I LOVED this dress! The color is gorgeous and I loved the textured fabric. It runs slim in the hips so order up and if you have big hips this may not work for you. The 4 fit perfectly (I ususally wear a 2).

I read other reviews that the top was large and the hips were slim. I am usually between a 2 and 4 with a larger bust. I thought the 4 would work but the hips are still a little tight. Will be getting some Spanx to see if it helps because the dress is gorgeous.

My mom rented this for a wedding but ended up going with the other dress she rented because this one was too small. It runs small for sure. It's very pretty, she was bummed that it didn't fit.

I ordered this for a wedding this past weekend and I should have heeded the other reviewers. I ordered my normal size (4) and one size up. I could technically squeeze myself into the size 6 but it was not flattering or comfortable at all. In particular, the ribbon "belt" at the waist makes it a partifularly tight fit. Fortunately, I had ordered a backup that I knew fit so it ended up being fine but I really wish I had gotten the 6 and the 8. I'll have to give it another try next spring!

Wore this dress for my nephew's baptism. The dress was very well made and the color is a nice light lime green. This did run a little smaller than I thought it would. I usually fit into a size 4 but had to use my back up size 6 and even then it was a little tight. If you have larger hips I'd stay clear of this dress, not much give in that area.

I couldn't fit in the 6 or 8 which are my normal dress sizes. It is cut very small. I luckily had also rented a back up dress so I wore that instead. It was a size 6 and fit fine. Order a bigger size!

Loved the dress itself, but it runs VERY small through the hips and thighs, and I don't have really any hips! It clung so tightly to my upper thighs that it made the rest of the dress above it bunch up. I contemplated wearing it anyway, but I know I would have felt uncomfortable all day.

The color and material of this dress were great and I wish I could have worn in. It was thick enough to hold a shape, but not so much that it would be too warm in the summer. There is absolutely NO stretch in this dress. In dresses I generally wear an 8, but I have larger hips(pear shaped). The 10 was unavailable for a back-up during my rental time, but I wanted to try anyways. I could zip up the dress but that was it, no sitting down. As in the picture, the dress does flare out just a little, so it wasn't tight on my thighs or legs, literally JUST around the hip/butt. The top, while flattering, was actually a bit loose on me, so having the back-up 10 would not have helped. I would say the dress runs fairly true to size, but small around the hips. This would look great on someone who is narrow through the hips or an hourglass shape with a larger bust. I would not recommend this for pear shapes, or people with a narrow waist and large hips or butt.

This was a pretty dress, but I am too curvy for it. It fit my chest well (32f), was a little snug around my hips, but I could have dealt with that, the issue was how big it was around the middle. The dress has no give, so if you're a curvy girl like me with a little middle, this dress likely won't fit. (Based on size 8)

The color was lovely and the lacy effect was feminine. The length was perfect for a daytime event. The only problem is the band on the waist. I might not hit everyone in the exact waistline. I'm 5'10" and it was too short in the waist on me. Covered it up with a belt. I was very nice but there are more interesting choices on RTR unless you are on a budget, then it was a great dress for the rental price.

The green lace was awesome- way prettier than I expected. The dress, however, was ill-fitting and sort of dowdy once it was on. It was extremely tight in the hips/thighs/butt and then loose and baggy (pooching out) on the belly. If you have any sort of curves I would not recommend this dress! I got it in two sizes 8 and 10 (I usually can wear either- typically an 8 jean size) and I could not make either one look good. I didn't wear this dress.
