I rented this dress to wear to my wedding rehearsal; it was a semi-formal event in a traditional church context. I had worn this exact dress, in floor length, as a bridesmaid in a previous wedding so I thought the shorter version would be perfect for my wedding rehearsal. Unfortunately, the dress was a bit too tight and too short for my event. I am 5'9" and very curvy through my hips and bottom so, while the picture shows the dress to be knee length, it fit MUCH shorter on me and really hugged my curves. It is a sexy dress and, if you have the confidence to rock your curves and show some leg, I would recommend it; I would have totally worn it to a different formal event where mamas and church ministers would not be scandalized by too much leg. However, if you're a tall & curvy girl needing something a bit more conservative, I would recommend going up two sizes at least (I normally wear a sized 12 dress and the size 14 was fitted & short) or choosing another dress. I'd also recommend shapewear. While this dress has numerous layers, they are fit snuggly and you'll want a little something to smooth out undergarment lines.

The dress is beautiful; I loved the lace details. It runs true to size and is flattering. I do wish it would have been available in a size 12 W, which would have been a better fit for me, but I knew I was ordering it a size bigger than my normal dress size and it fit according to expectation. The length was perfect for a casual, but sophisticated evening; not too tight or short, allowing for a classy but cute look appropriate for a church wedding rehearsal. It's numerous layers made it so I did not need to wear a slip or shapewear, which is always a plus.
