This wedding was not black tie but the dress was glamorous however NOT over the top. Lots of stares!
If you are over 5'6" I would order long. I am almost 5'7" and wore 2 inch heels and it was perfect. I would not suggest it for someone over 5'10". No bra needed, hugs all the right places, wear spanx.

I wore this dress on Christmas and everyone loved it!
It was difficult to get on because you have to dive into it with both arms. It is very tight in the shoulders. Once I got the dress over my shoulders, it fell very nicely and fit the rest of my body like a glove. The belt ties a little below your natural waist then drapes in the perfect spot to hide any gut from lots of holiday eating! The lace detail is extraordinary. The fabric is high quality and people asked where I bought the dress all night. I was able to wear a normal bra without it being too obvious through the lace.
