I ordered this dress for my prom and was really excited because I had been stalking it on the internet for about a year! I understood that it was a dress that stands out but was in no way prepared for what I received in the mail. The dress is so incredibly glitzy that even I (the most dramatic person I know) had my doubts. The sequins were overpowering and felt almost gaudy----I was definitely worried that the dress was going to wear me. After much consultation I decided to use it anyway and I'm very glad that I did. The dress photographs incredibly; it catches light beautifully and went very well with my skin tone. IF YOU ORDER THIS DRESS YOU HAVE TO WEAR IT WITH CONFIDENCE. Otherwise, you just look ridiculous. The sequins look a little darker in real life, almost brown. I made the mistake of ordering a 4L rather than a 4R and the dress ended up being too long despite my four-inch heels. Luckily, I was able to make some last minute adjustments and used really strong tape to fold over the bottom and temporarily trim about four inches off of the dress. So yes, the dress had its trials, but overall I'm glad I wore it and was sad to give it back. I received many compliments and shone all night! This dress is beautiful in person! The color of the fabric is much more vibrant than in the picture. The dress is simple and light, yet not at all plain--the gold and silver thread is very eye-catching. I'm quite tan, and it contrasted my skin tone perfectly...I received compliments all night! I would definitely recommend this one.
