Sleeves too long
This is definitely a curve hugger! I'm a petite hourglass shape. Folks complimented me all night. I wanted to try a LPetite and an XLPetite, but they didn't have the XLP to try, so I got the XL Regular. The L Petite was showing EVERY roll, and the XL Regular gave me a little more breathing room while still looking great. (My undergarment did make a line across my waist you could see, which I didn't love, but that's an issue with undergarments, not the dress.) BOTH dresses had sleeves so long that I had to cuff them up inside by a few inches. (Even the petite!) It worked, but wasn't ideal. Interestingly, I am only 5'3 or so and the XL Regular size was a fine length for my height - it would not be floor length if you are 5'6 and wore it with heels. I wore it with new/clean flipflops at a (shoe-free/slippers-only) house party and didn't step on the hem.

Too tight in the bottom, too loose in the top
The thick fabric hugged my hips well - but I had to size up to a 14 to even get myself into it! And at both the 12 and 14 sizes, the shoulder elastic was way stretched out, and the entire arms/torso felt loose and weird. Did not wear.

Flip sequins need constant attention
I received many compliments in this! This pretty red dress was a comfy 12. I'm 5'3" petite and there was a *little* bit extra fabric on the back between waist and shoulders but not bad. What you can't tell in the pics is that the sequins are "flip sequins". A little shinier on one side. So every time I bent over, I'd get a few lines on my front--sequins flipped up--that were visible to others, so I felt compelled to constantly "smooth" my stomach and skirt. Not sure I'd recommend it, for that reason. Zipper also very difficult to get up and down, but I was able to do it myself.

Too large in the chest
An unexpected side effect of losing some weight recently was discovering that this size 10 dress fit my waist appropriately, but the top of the dress provided too much of a gap/I couldn't fill it out. Perhaps it's because I'm petite and short waisted--if it were 1" shorter, maybe it would've sat more properly on my chest. But at size 10, 5'3", my 36B chest wasn't enough to fill this out, so I couldn't wear it.

So many compliments!
This is a beautiful dress; thick fabric. I hadn't looked closely at the pictures, so didn't realize there is pink lace along the sides--some of which is sheer! So be prepared to wear a bra the color of your skin, or have it show. I received compliments all night, however, it was little too long for my torso. The waist sat properly, but if I were to keep it I would hem the straps an inch or so each. As the waist was fitted, I couldn't just "pull it down" to make it sit properly on my shoulders. As a result of that, it sort of gapped weirdly along the back or was loose on my breasts occasionally. I wore a wrap part of the night to make it less obvious. Not sure others noticed, but I was self conscious. I'm usually a 12, and I ordered a 12 & 14, and the 12 fit well and the 14 felt like it was two sizes up, the size jump was so big.

Too long in the torso
My short torso didn't allow this dress to work -- I had like 2" of extra black fabric above my shoulders, as it was sitting properly on my waist. Beware!
