Loved this dress but size I thought I needed ended up not being able to ship and the 8 was just way too big. (Thanks to RTR for giving me the option to pick alternate dresses one of which I wore instead and might have ended up liking more than this one I’d originally chosen)

Loved the fabric, pattern, and style but ended up not wearing it as the fit wasn’t quite right. A size up might have worked.

Even the XXS was too big in the chest and the one sleeve was too long. Overall, dress is pretty but it just didn't have the "wow" factor.

fabulous!
Both sizes fit - 36 more comfortable around my waist so wore it. Wore to benefit dinner with cocktail dress code. Felt fabulous in all evening and got multiple compliments on the dress. Would definitely rent again.

nice but not fabulous
I work this for a charity benefit with a cocktail dress code. Pros - it was comfortable and I liked the level of sparkle. Overall, though, it was a miss for me. Agree with other reviewers that the fabric around the waist doesn't make for a super-flattering silhouette from the side. Length was also an issue for me; it hit at a rather stumpifying spot on my mid-lower leg (for the event, I made it shorter by pinning it up under all the fabric at the waist; this is the length seen in the photo). In contrast to every other dress I've got from RTR, I got no compliments from others attending the event.

compliments all night, and POCKETS!
Beautiful dress, although the fabric was thinner/less substantial than I'd expected from a brocade. Also thought it would be fuller, but the tulle on the underskirt was totally limp. That said, I got compliments on the gown throughout the night. And I loved having pockets! If you're short, plan on wearing your highest heels!!

LOVED this dress!
The side details add just the right touch to make this stand out. I got compliments all night. The material is pretty stretchy, but doesn't get stretched out - perfect for dancing. Would totally rent this one again. The length of the 36 was a better fit for me, but the 38 was more comfortable through my waist/hips so I wore that size. With 3-inch heels, the 38 was about half an inch on the floor in the front, more in the back because of the hem's drape.

Wish I'd had the right size!
Loved the fabric and construction of this dress; it felt great on! My back-up size wasn't available, so I just had the size 4. It was OK standing still, but was a tight fit and wouldn't have been comfortable for dinner and dancing. The length was also a bit awkward - it hit just a bit below mid-calf and I felt a bit stumpy - likely not a problem for taller folks. I ended up wearing the back-up dress RTR sent since my back-up size wasn't available.

understated sophistication
Ended up not wearing this because of how it clung to my lower half - just felt a little too form-fitting for the conference I'd planned to wear it at. But I absolutely loved it - would rent again for wearing to ballet or the like, work dinner, not-super-fancy benefit.
