The waist fit is dead-on and will not provide any give. Everything else is flowy and doesn't need to be fully true to the measurements. Especially the top; it's very adjustable. LOVED this gown.

This dress was perfection. I updated my body stats, so they are 100% accurate for the fit of this dress. I did fit into the 2R, but it left no room for food and that's just not acceptable, so I wore the 4R :) I am a more athletic build- I lift weights daily. I mention this because 3 years ago I wore the same size at 125lbs, then started training, and had a whole body change. 8-10 lbs heavier, but same/very similar inches (more muscle, less fat) and thus, fitting into the same dress size. Keep this in mind if you're a different body type!

My profile won't allow me to save my measurements so: Height 5'5" Weight 125 lb Bust 34 B Beautiful fit! It has no stretch around the waist, so it took a deep EXHALE to zip it closed, but then once zipped up, I didn't feel constricted. I received compliments on this dress all night. Definitely wear heels and/or have heels of varying heights at your disposal so you can find which one works best for this dress. It does have a tiny train (depending on heel height) and people did step on it occasionally. Overall, SO HAPPY with this dress .
