This crepe material has no give to it. This dress has a band detail at the waist so it has to hit perfectly. I found that while the chest fit fine and the length was good, the band wouldn't stretch around the upper part of my hips - giving the top portion a blousy look. I bought this in the sample sale so I'm having the sleeves brought in and up to compensate (rather than letting it out at the waist). Still, the color is very pretty and the design is beautiful - flowy and feminine but modern.

I am 5'8" and 180 lbs. I tend to be a size 12 all around. I ordered the large as a backup size to the medium, hedging my bets, even though every review said the dress was true to size and/or a little roomy. The medium fit perfectly. I wore a strapless bra - sometimes you could see the bridge in the front hole of the dress, but I'm sure no one minded. It's very low cut compared to what I normally wear, but I soon realized it was modest enough that nothing was going to pop out unexpectedly. I got so many compliments, it was a gorgeous August wedding and the print on this dress just felt...right. It's a lush-feeling dress, there is a lot of fabric pleated into the skirt. Tropical glam. Highly recommend for evening weddings, fancy nights out on vacation...it would also be an awesome choice for a mom-to-be at a baby shower, given the cut and roominess.
